Transport Planner – Radlett

Spitfire Staffing is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our well established and successful clients in Radlett.

Due to further success and an upturn in business, they are looking for reliable and hard-working candidates to join the team.

The Role:
Overseeing the day to day planning of the transport operation, through the efficient planning of the transport operation. You will be experienced at working in a busy transport department, able to deal with day to day challenges and provide cost effective solutions to the customer.

• Planning daily workload for a fleet: vehicles based on site and out-based vehicles
• Dealing with queries and issues by telephone, and email from our customers,
• Liaising with Traffic and Administration teams to ensure the highest standards of performance are maintained at all times
• Maintaining, creating and updating spreadsheets and databases for customer reports
• Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that arise.

Details:

• Circa £30,000 depending on experience
• Permanent
• Monday to Friday
• 0830/0900 to 1800/1830

Requirements are:

• Be able to communicate well at all levels within the business
• Experience required
• Be able to make decisions under pressure, and to a tight timescale
• Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft packages
